With a uniform K180 grit (equivalent to approximately P320), the sponge has the perfect balance between sanding power and a fine sanding pattern: It removes fine scratches, smooths rough areas and optimally prepares the wood for treatment with oil or wax.
Thanks to its flexible structure, it effortlessly reaches even round surfaces and handle contours. The sponge is equally rough on all sides, durable and can be used multiple times.

Which wood is best for a cutting board?
For a cutting board, it's important that the material is resilient and durable, but not too hard, as otherwise the knives would dull too quickly. Glass, for example, is unsuitable for this. For this reason, we use hard, robust solid wood for the mill board. Another advantage is that it's easy to maintain and can even be sanded if necessary. There are small differences in our materials, which are described in the next question. However, we recommend choosing your mill board primarily based on your personal taste.
