Windmill blade rust remover
Tax included.
Discoloration and light rust? Simply erase it. The Windmühlenmesser rust eraser effortlessly removes rust stains and signs of wear on carbon steel blades – usable dry or with a little water. For blades that not only stay sharp, but also beautiful.
A dark patina forms on carbon steel blades with use – perfectly normal and functionally harmless, but sometimes visually disturbing. The Windmühlenmesser rust remover removes such discolorations and light rust stains in no time.
Application: Rub gently over the affected areas – either dry or slightly moistened. The rust is mechanically removed, and the blade regains a clean surface.
Tip: After use, let the knife rest briefly before it comes into contact with food to avoid possible metallic taste residues.
Please note: The rust remover may leave fine scratches on the blade - these are purely cosmetic and do not affect the function.

What happens to the groove when the cutting board gets wet?
If your mill board gets very wet, for example, because you're cutting a lot of vegetables with a lot of liquid, like tomatoes, the wood will swell slightly. This is its natural characteristic and completely normal. The blade may then sit a little tighter in the groove. However, after drying, this change will reverse, and the blade will return to its normal position. If you find your blade is too tight or too loose, simply contact us, and we'll help you quickly and easily.
Which wood is best for a cutting board?
For a cutting board, it's important that the material is resilient and durable, but not too hard, as otherwise the knives would dull too quickly. Glass, for example, is unsuitable for this. For this reason, we use hard, robust solid wood for the mill board. Another advantage is that it's easy to maintain and can even be sanded if necessary. There are small differences in our materials, which are described in the next question. However, we recommend choosing your mill board primarily based on your personal taste.
How do the different woods differ?

Microwave, kettle, toaster... Space is often at a premium in the kitchen. That's certainly how it is in the inventor's kitchen. The mill board is deliberately designed to be compact, so it fits in any kitchen and on any dining table. Moreover, its special shape allows it to stand upright, allowing it to be quickly and easily stored anywhere to save space. This elegantly sits out of the way, yet is always within easy reach. Disassembled, it also fits in any drawer—but its advantage lies in the fact that it, along with the knife, is always within easy reach. If you're not sure whether it will fit in your home, you can test your mill board for up to 21 days without hesitation.
